Thank you very much for this Lucy...it lays out so succinctly the malaise that the loss of truth is causing in our society/culture/professions/relationships....so many excellent examples....the impact on children in particular, and our therapy profession, is the most heartbreaking for me....I love your phrase 'carefully calibrated truth telling’....it sums up what is missing so eloquently and what is so very much needed....and yes, whatever happened to bracketing in our profession.....the imposition of non-truth is crazy making.....no wonder, the mental health resources available are not making people/CYP’s mental health better but making it worse and more prolific.
